''Cherry Ice Cream with Cherries & Fudge Flakes''
Well this one has been a longtime coming. Every time I opened my freezer Mr. Garcia would stare at me but I, unenthused, would either close that door right back or pick another pint. I don't know why this flavour never appealed to me and lasted so long in my freezer untouched. It has passed the test of time and is still in production, it has a lot of recognition in forum and TV shows (How I Met Your Mother for example), and it seems to be so popular that they even made a FroYo edition that is still in production.

It was the last pint left in my freezer since my last run and I didn't want to restock until I finally get rid of this pint. I was already setting myself up for a huge let down. I opened it up and took a spoonful, sweet... very cherry sweet. Not bad. The cherry base was actually quite delicious and reminiscent of the Banana base in Chunky Monkey. I'm not usually a big fan of cherries or cherry flavoured anything for that matter but this was different. It wasn't just a boring old vine cherry taste but more like a mascherano cherry, the really red sweet syrupy kind you would find on top of an ice cream sundae. And then, to my surprise... actual mascherano cherries for mix ins. They were sweet and quite frequent (I wish they had put actual banana slices in Chunky Monkey as well). All of this paired with chocolate fudge flakes that played nicely with the sweet cherries.

Verdict: 8.5/10 - It scored so highly because of it's simplicity and tastiness for a Ben & Jerry's. There was no need for tons of different mix ins. Just a delicious base and basic mix ins that work in perfect harmony together. I will be buying again because I feel this is a flavour that I can eat when I'm craving something sweet like a cherry but not necessarily aiming to eat the whole pint. Just relax and take a couple spoons to my satisfaction (The same with Chunky Monkey).
